When taking photos of smaller parts sometimes you only need a curved sheet of paper as a background. I try to get the cats to act as a background paper page holder for me, but I need at least 2 of them to hold each end and that is asking a bit too much. So I designed a 3D printed set of page holders that use wooden rods that is adjustable and allows for different lengths of paper. The grooves are about 0.5 mm wide so that a single sheet of paper slides easily and can user heavier paper weights.

The page holders are printed with PLA and a 0.5mm nozzle with a 15% infill. The side without the groove is printed face down on the build plate. You can download the page holder files from the MeowFire Public GitLab Repo.

While the background paper page holder are printing you will need to run to your local hardware store and pick up a 5/16 inch ( 8 mm ) dowel that is about 3 times the length of the largest sheet of paper you want to place in the holders. For an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper you will need a 3 foot ( 1 meter ) rod as you will cut the rod in even thirds that are about 1 foot ( 305 mm ). This size of rod was big enough to take photos of the various pieces of the Kitty No product.

The rods slide in the 3 sets of holes and allow for you to slide the paper page through the grooves to hold a background of your choice. I found it is easier to put all 3 rids in one side first and then slide the other side on. In this case I am using a pink paper to easily use it as the alpha channel for images with transparent background.
